Important Announcement for 2009
The Welsh Hospitality trade show for the hospitality and catering trade, which was due to take place at the United Counties Showground, Carmarthen, on February 10, 11 and 12 2009 has had to be cancelled.
We very much regret the decision but the current economic downturn had affected booking levels from companies for the show, to the extent that staging the event in 2009 was no longer viable.
Unfortunately, economic conditions have clearly played a major role and local traders haven’t shown sufficient interest this year, with the uptake in stands well below what would be needed to make the Welsh Hospitality show viable.
We work hard to ensure that our shows offer excellent value to our traders and visitors and it would have been unfair to go ahead with the Welsh Hospitality show for people who had booked, so we took the decision to cancel.
The Welsh Hospitality show will be re-launched in 2010 in a new format to be announced at a later date.
In the meantime, Exhibitions South West’s popular expowest events in Devon and Cornwall will definitely take place as planned in 2009, with both these shows booking well.
